![]() ![]() I'm putting this near the top of my wish list. For future reference, I've already played Myst 1-5 and realMyst. ![]() Another game that uses internet research is EVIDENCE: THE LAST RITUAL, and it's basically unplayable now because any searches just bring up walkthroughs and spoiling puzzle solutions.Ĭandle looks neat but it's not the kind of game type I'm looking for. Having to do real internet research has always been an interesting mechanic, but I hope it still works well without ruining the experience. ![]() The Temporal Invasion looks very interesting. I couldn't quite tell what gameplay was like based on the steam page so I'll look up some on YouTube. The Black Mirror games look like they might be good. You generally get the same set of puzzle elements and tools are solve individual puzzles one by one, each with its own arrangement of those same elements. The Talos Principle is great but I wouldn't put it anywhere near the same category as Myst. The environment was beautiful but the puzzles felt very detached, like doing sudoku on a beautiful island. The Witness ended up boring me very quickly because it lacked that variety and simply felt like the same puzzles over and over with slightly new mechanics added as you progressed. is how they have a variety of puzzle elements that blend so organically into the world and the environment. One of the things I love about games like Myst, Quern, Obduction, etc. I was in a bit of a rush with my previous reply. Maybe I'll give it another try though.Īs for The Talos Principle and The Witness, let me explain a little bit more. I think I prefer the first person perspective. ![]() I have Syberia, and I think I tried it a long time ago, but didn't really get into it.
